NAKED Island - Siargao, Surigao Del Norte

Did you ever imagined yourself in the middle of the sea, sun bathing on a soft powder sandbar surrounded by crystal clear blue water? Naked island will definitely turn your imagination into reality. The name of the island speaks for itself. Basically there's nothing on it, no trees or plants, no shelter to cover you around but still a beautiful place to visit.

If you're planning to go on island hopping to Siargao, I suggest to make this one as your first destination. It's a part of three island hopping adventure including DAKU  and GUYAM Island.  It'll be nice to visit early in the morning because you will roast yourself with a blistering heat of the sun at noon like we did last time. :)

I love walking on beaches, i really love the calming sounds of the water as it touched the sand.

For skin conscious, make sure to be well cover yourself with any of these: hat, sunblock, towel, rush guard, umbrella or anything that can protect you from sunlight. :)

We bought some fresh clam shell and squids then made it grilled and kilawin. They were awesome! It was my first time to eat Kinilaw na Shell haha.. not the shell literally but the flesh inside of it. Taste good. It is soft but sort of chewy part :)) All I can say is yum yum yum :)))

Clam shell for Kinilaw
Fresh Big squid for Inihaw

Take a look at these small squids dipped in their ink. It's eyes are clear and it smells ocean-fresh fragrance.  They are yellowish white, soft and fleshy. As you can see it has tiny dots on its skin. When its reflected with light it becomes blue green.

Perfect for KINILAW :)

The island tends to change shape due to rising sea level.

You'll never regret visiting the island, Its simple beauty will caught your senses. I called it "Little Paradise".

DAKU Island - Surigao Del Norte

Siargao Island is not all about surfing. It is also well known for its beautiful islands and beaches nearby.

DAKU Island is one of tropical island located in Surigao Del Norte, a must-visit for anyone touring the Philippines. This was our second destinations as part of our island hopping adventure.

My mother side is actually from  General Luna Surigao Del Norte. That's why we always go here and visit our relatives. This island is just a boat ride away from my Grandmother's house.

At the Boulevard, waiting for bangkeros to fetch us.  This place is the town proper of General Luna. Wherein church, school, wet market is located.

One of the things i like in Siargao is its powder-like white sand. It's actually everywhere. You can walk on barefoot without worries.

We rented two (2) speed boat going to Daku Island.

If you noticed the island on the right side, that is Guyam Island. If you will go here in siargao make sure you include this precious one on your bucket list.

Heading DAKU

We unloaded our things. Make sure you bring some food and enough supply of water. Though there is a store within the island, its better to bring your own baon and luto. Be practical.

Basically there are Nipa huts for rentals (P250.00). You can spend overnight here but I forgot to ask how much is the additional fee :)

There are local fishermen and villagers living in the island they offer us  fresh fish and seaweeds (that is served upon request)  and coconut drink to refresh us. (So here we spent our lunch time.)

We love you Grandma! (Our dearest Lola Feling)

Kinilaw is the best..

You can also play volleyball here. Just rent a ball for P30.00 for each hour play.

I striked a violent pose :)
Enjoying the beach with my family.

Among the three island we'd visit, this one is the best place for swimming because there are no rocks.

Look how clear the water is!

Next Island Destination: Guyam :)
